Inspired by nature,the landscape and love of natural materials,my artwork currently explores the ancient technique of ‘encaustic’ painting.Using molten beeswax,tree resin & pigments,each layer is fused with heat to a wooden cradle.The buttery ‘encaustic’ medium creates a luminosity that reflects the light.Textures are built up and carved out to give my artwork a 3-dimensional quality.
